INCREASING IMPACT

Thanks to resounding public support, Ashtabula County Metroparks has grown into one of the best loved systems in the country while demonstrating a commitment to effectively stewarding our natural and financial resources. In a time of high demand for tax resources, the Ashtabula County Parks Foundation provides the path to additional financial support by building strong public-private partnerships with park lovers across the Ashtabula County area and beyond.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Ashtabula County Parks Foundation is to promote and assist in the development and enhancement of the quality of life of Ashtabula Countians by assisting interested groups with similar goals in preserving land, environment, and natural/cultural heritage; and to create significant opportunities for education, conservation, recreation and relaxation either directly or by contribution to the Foundation.

The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to government entities for a public purpose, or organizations that qualify as an exempt organization described under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code , or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

As an Ashtabula Parks Foundation Supporter, you will continue to lead the way in improving access to our community’s natural spaces and ensuring their preservation.

The Ashtabula Parks Foundation helps advance the mission and vision of the Metroparks through:

  • Awareness—sharing the importance of the Metroparks story and vision with others
  • Partnerships—encouraging the development of strong, strategic partnerships with individuals, corporations, foundations and other community organizations
  • Resources—providing financial support for the development of new parks and park experiences that would not otherwise be possible

Ultimately, the Foundation provides people with more ways to connect to nature and enhance life in our region.
